The labyrinth is a watering hole for the spirit, inviting us to drink. – Lauren Artress

The labyrinth is an archetype, a divine imprint, found in all religious traditions in various forms around the world. Unlike a maze, the labyrinth has only one path so there are no tricks to it and no dead ends. The path curves around and becomes a mirror for where we are in our lives. Walk the labyrinth with an open heart and an open mind to discover where the path leads you.
The labyrinth is walked by different people for a variety of purposes. Many people find the labyrinth to be an effective tool for meditating, clearing stress, increasing focus, enhancing awareness and body presence, cultivating creativity, or praying. Walking the labyrinth as a group provides opportunities for reflections on teamwork, problem solving and communication. Each person’s experience on the labyrinth is different, yet each experience provides an opportunity for enrichment and meaning in one’s life.
