We are not human beings on a spiritual journey; we are spiritual beings on a human journey. - Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
About this Blog
Make Way is a working title for this blog. It is a holding space for what may come. The name may change, or it may not, but what matters is the possibility it creates. This blog is an evolving experiment. And that happens to be one of the main themes of this blog – making space to make way for something new and unique to unfold – in my life and perhaps in yours, if you’d like to accompany me on this journey to evolve. Here I’ll share my inspirations, observations, experiences, doubts and fears - all those things that make life, well…Life!
Join me and lets make way for what’s to come.
About Laura
What I believe
The shift to a better world doesn’t happen on a grand scale, it happens one person at a time.
I call myself a Life Adventurer, because I want to remember that every turn in the road offers another chance to learn and grow.
I believe that the most important contribution a person can make to the world is to grow and evolve, because consciously evolving ourselves contributes to human evolution and to a better world.
My personal mantra is Live Deliberately and my goal is to grow in my ability to live from my heart.
My aim with this blog is to share the evolutionary road with you – offering my own path of self discovery, reflection and renewal, and inviting you to accompany me on the journey – where ever you are on your path of personal evolution.
My work
I approach my work the same way I approach my life – as an adventure. I am a life leadership coach and I offer workshops on a range of personal and professional development topics. I am passionate about the labyrinth – an ancient, inspiring and practical tool of self discovery and quiet reflection. Through labyrinth walks, workshops and coaching, my goal is to encourage and help my clients live by heart with skill and passion.
Interested in coaching, walking the labyrinth, attending a workshop, or scheduling an event for your team? Contact me now for more information on this and more.
My background
I am a Veriditas-trained labyrinth facilitator and a Masters student at Wisdom University. I have worked as a management and personal development coach, a teacher, an organizational development manager and an operations manager in high tech. In addition to coaching and facilitating, I am the labyrinth practioner at Six Senses Spa at Penha Longa in Sintra, Portugal. Originally from Dallas, Texas, I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and graduated from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona with a degree in chemical engineering. To my coaching and training methods, I bring over 15 years of hands-on experience with people, projects and problem-solving in diverse international teams at large and small companies in the US and Europe.
Through my own personal quest for spiritual growth I have developed my professional passion to help and inspire others. I reside in Portugal with my husband and our two sweet puppy dogs.
